Laksen Sporting is the story of Danish craftsmanship, a deep passion for hunting – and a desire to create clothing that unites tradition, quality, and innovation. Since 1977, we have designed garments and equipment for hunters who demand the very best in both performance and aesthetics. Our story begins with two passionate fly fishermen and hunters – and has since evolved into an international brand, now synonymous with uncompromising hunting attire of the highest calibre.

From fly fishing to the world of hunting

The early years were all about craftsmanship. Laksen Sporting was founded on a love for nature and for working with one’s hands – from handcrafted fly rods to functional clothing of our own design. When we became the first company in Europe to be licensed to use Gore-Tex in 1979, everything changed. We could now create hunting and fishing garments that were both waterproof and breathable – a true revolution for hunters of the time. It marked the beginning of an export adventure and a new chapter in Danish outdoor design.

Tweed, tradition, and technology

By the late 1990s, our focus had shifted towards clothing for classic shooting and hunting. The first lightweight tweed products, made from 100% Scottish wool with waterproof and breathable features, set a new standard for modern hunting wear. Although production now takes place at carefully selected workshops across Europe, design, construction, and product development remain in Denmark – in the hands of people who understand hunting and its traditions to the fullest.

At Laksen Sporting, our passion for hunting and nature is not merely part of our history – it is the driving force behind everything we do. Today, our collection includes more than 400 unique products, created to withstand everything from wet days on the moor to crisp mornings on the shoot. Every jacket, waistcoat, and pair of trousers is crafted with respect for the culture of hunting and with a keen eye for function, comfort, and aesthetics.
